Official DOD Stop the Bleed course

This Department of Defense sponsored, Stop the Bleed course, is being taught by our esteemed friend, Doctor Robert Franklin. You'll learn the basics of tourniquet use and wound packing gauze. This may be one of the most important trainings you take in an emergency. In the event of major blood loss, there may not be enough time to wait for professional first responders as a victim can bleed out very quickly. Knowing how to stop major bleeding can save a life on the highway, in the woods, on the shooting range, and a million other places. The course is free, the only charge is to cover your stop the bleed kit which includes gloves, shears, wound clotting gauze, and a tourniquet. After all, it doesn't do any good to have the training without the equipment! This course has an online learning component followed by an in person practice session. Our very sincere thanks to Doctor Franklin for volunteering to teach this valuable skill. A government recognized certificate will be issued after successful completion.
